The date was 04th February, 1999. India vs Pakistan, 2nd test (Feroz Shah Kotla). Pakistan got a very devastating start from both the opener (Saeed Anwar and Sahid Afridi) during the run chase of the target 420. On the 2nd and 3rd delivery of my spell (25th over), I managed to get the wicket of Sahid Afridi and Izaz Ahmed. Next, in the 29th over I managed to remove the dangerous man Inzamam ul Haq. After this, wicket started falling in hurry one after another. Within the score of 26 runs half of the Pakistani batsmen were sent back to pavilion. When the 6th wicket was down (saeed Anwar), I thought the only recognized batsmen left is Wasim Akram. If I managed to get his wicket, then definitely, I can add on something to my test career. When I got the 9th wicket, then I realized that here I can create a world record by taking 10 wickets in an inning. My teammate Srinath too supported me. When he was bowling his over, to the batsmen, he bowled maximum wide, so that I can get the wicket. I was waiting for the ball to come in my hand. The score was 207 and Wasim was at strike the first two delivery were well defended by the Wasim, but at the 3rd delivery, I managed to get a leading edge of Wasim Akram and a fabulous catch at the shortleg. The moment I can never forget. I realized all the process in slow motion. It was really a great feeling when you grab all the 10 wickets in an inning.

India won a test match after 28 years. After winning this catch India levelled the series 1-1 after losing the test in Chennai. India won the match but it was Kumble's day. He became 2nd bowler to take 10 wickets in an inning.
